Iam Maestro Riko is a multidisciplinary artist, producer, composer, audio engineer, live performer and musical director whose practice connects original music, improvisation, live looping, intentional listening and reflective experience. Moving across R&B/Soul, Hip-Hop/Rap and immersive sound, he approaches listening as an active creative practice. 808s & Meditate brings bass, rhythm, spacious sound and meditation into experiences for rest, grounding, focus and reflection. Authorship, his eight-track 2026 album, explores identity, movement, contemplation and self-exploration; its Elemental Framework and educational materials extend those ideas into structured reflection and creative development. Maestro’s continuing research follows the same lineage from sound-based and therapeutic practice into mental health and wellness, behavioral health, peer support and the wider human-services field. Through I Am Maestro LLC, he studies and develops ways to bridge forms of knowledge and care that are often separated—artistic and clinical, lived and institutional, community-based and ceremonial. This broader work supports the music rather than replacing it: sound remains the entry point, and human meaning, relationship and agency remain the center.
